machu missi0n impossible
Here’s a story of when you’re executing Mission Impossible, need to hatch a crafty a plan, make sure it’s clearly articulated and everybody bought-in.
“When somebody says can’t do it, what’s your reaction Little Twinkles?” Further solidifies my desire to prove them wrong show that I can. “That’s my girl.”
“Twink we’re going to the park.” I love parks. “Well this one is 3,000 years old. Now I was reading an article by some self-proclaimed dog travel pundit that said, “You can’t get a dog into Machu Picchu.’”
Well this bitch will show that bitch. Dad sounds like this one wil be tough, do you have a well thought out plan?
“Now remember the backpack drill in Guatape? Climbing the 742-steps to ‘Greatest View in the World?” We do the same thing except here stakes much higher, We travelled a long way cannot have a goal-line fumble. All we need to do is 30 seconds of confinement in the backpack. KAZAAM, we’re in, you will have forever bragging rights with dog and human alike. You will be the first dog to explore Sacred City.”
Vamanos Dad, i want to be THE FIRST.
“Ok, but when executing Mission Impossible, you need to have a plan, and we both have to work together.”
I hopped imto backpack, little claustrophobic but trusted Dad. After we got in, he walked like he had a rocket in his culo, unzipped the backpack and few minutes later, WOW! The view was majestic, celebrated our accomplishment, then Dad said ,,,
“Twink, there’s another element to Mission Impossible. Never get too comfortable.”
HOw quick can you think?
Here’s a story of secret to quick thinking, sharing your FORCE.
“Twinkles, some of you dogs are world class quick thinkers. How do you do that?”
Well we got high ‘sensory processor sensitivity.’ Our sense of smell, hearing, those are our ‘hummingbird eyes.’ All environmental info is sitting in our RAM. So when there’s a disturbance in the force, we excute a logical rapid response based on information that’s already been processed. Is that instinct?
“Thanks for the education.”
Dad we did it! Wow, this Sacred City thing is pretty big, majestic. It took us a long time to get here, this makes it worth it. Uh, Dad I smell trouble our time here might be short lived.
“Oh dios there is a storm on the horizon. See the fella in the red shirt, he’s Peruvian version of Park Ranger Smith. We got a spot of bother here what should we do?”
Sighting the ‘Park Ranger Danger’ this dog dashed into the hands of a girl in a Blue, Yellow, Red sweater, the colors of Colombia. Us Colombianos atop the social food chain of all South American countries. My new amiga gave Ranger ‘This is not the dog you’re looking for’ look. With Colombiana protecting me, Peruvian Park Ranger Smith retreated defeated.
Us Colombianos had a brief chat, just laughed our colas (asses) off. Just look at amigos in the background. They praised me for my quick thinking.
“Puppy you unleashed inner Jedi. The Force is strong with you young Twinkle.”
bingham’s light backpack
Here’s a story of rewarding agility, proving you belong, making your own luck.
Morning of the Machu Picchu trip, the hotel phone rings. Mr. Padre we’ve had to change your return train tonight. You’ve got an involuntary upgrade to the Hiram Bingham train. After an unbelievable day, (where we deftly dodged a few bullets) board the train. I hadn’t been a lot of trains, but this looks pretty sweet.
What’s for dinner? Duck? I love to chase them now I get to eat them. I am a Princesa, and I BELONG.
Hiram Bingham is the Peruvian ‘Orient Express.’ Theorectically I wasn’t supposed to get into Sacred City. Theorectically we were supposed to be on Peru Rail returning from Machu Picchu.
’We have become ‘masters of crafty.’ Now some perceive our crafty a ‘dark art.’ Kinda, but we analyze a situation, identify the opportunities, and quickly develop a creative, well thought out plan and execute it.”
If that’s crafty, guile, make your own luck well sign me up for that.
We defined agile today Dad.
“Yup, helps if you have a light backpack.”
“How ironic we’re on the Hiram Bingham, quoting Ryan Bingham from ‘Up in the Air?’”
